American Estates: J.M. Boswell Smooth Poker with Shotgun Shell (2019)

Product Number: 004-009-16808

Though J.M. Boswell crafts a wide array of pipes, ranging from wild Freehands to more traditional, refined shape chart standards, his pieces are often easily recognizable by their robust proportions, muscular shaping, and stolid sensibility, as evidenced by this Poker. Tall of bowl and boasting a flattened heel that enables it to sit quite sturdily, this Poker possesses s rather generous tobacco chamber, ensuring plenty of long, luxurious smoking sessions. The abbreviated shank extends from the transition near the middle of the bowl before giving way to a saddle stem of cream and caramel-hued acrylic, their junction marked by a metal casing from a 12-gauge shotgun shell. The gold-hue of the casing and the vibrant colors of the stem add a splash of color to the pipe's profile, offsetting the reserved, traditional smooth finish that dresses the stummel.
