American Estates: Michael Lindner Sandblasted Billiard (2005) (E)
Product Number: 004-009-17091
Detroit native Michael Lindner was one of the first American artisans to implement the conventions of Danish style into his work. While many of his pieces are rather hearty and muscular, this 2005 Billiard is compact, streamlined, seamless and diminutive. The low-lying, charmingly petite bowl displays a gentle taper to the rim from a low mass, the supple shaping lending it a voluptuous, albeit petite, disposition. It's poised at the end of a sleek shank-and-stem arrangement, the latter consisting of jet-black vulcanite, pairing well with the stummel's dark ruby sandblast for an elegant aesthetic.-Angela Robertson
