American Estates: Silver Gray Sandblasted Canoe (NAP Stem) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-009-18236

The Canoe is one of Silver Gray's signature shapes, and a rather dynamic one at that. It features compressed flanks like that of the Opera shape, but with a bifurcating ridgeline that descends from the lenticular rim, wraps around the bowl's heel, and continues through the sweeping lenticular shank. The ridgeline and compressed flanks give the bowl a distinctly dynamic appearance, and you could easily imagine the totality of the shape cutting through the water of some wild river. This particular rendition of the shape measures less than five inches in total length, making it ideal for on-the-go smoking. A crisp, black and tan sandblast dresses the stummel and unveils rippling waves of growth rings across the flanks of the bowl, providing plenty of visual and tactile intrigue. It's topped by a NAP stem, an almost forgotten innovation that features a unique button that distributes smoke evenly across the palette. The NAP stem was originally a Peterson invention, but Silver Gray has revitalized the design and has been fashioning the stems by hand for a number of years. The one adorning this Canoe is a slender, demurely curved mouthpiece of cumberland.
