American Estates: Randy Wiley Galleon Bent Pot (33) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-18283
This bent Pot from Randy Wiley showcases the American carver's penchant for playful designs and large forms, stretching out to nearly seven inches long. The shank here kicks up out of the transition a bit, reaching out and flaring gently to a fitment of multicolored acrylic that leads to an additional fitment of black acrylic which furthers the flare to the matching stem. This stem is quite interesting, given a spiral treatment at the base which lends the aft of this pipe even further visual intrigue, easily balancing the poised, upright Pot bowl at the fore. The stummel is dressed in a black stain that covers Wiley's Galleon rustication, adding a wealth of texture to the briar that keeps things interesting in the hand.
