American Estates: Michael Butera Meerschaum Smooth Bent Dublin (Collaboration with I. Beckler) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-18604
Widely regarded as the best pipe carver in America, Michael Butera has created excellent smoking instruments since the late 1970s. This piece is a highly rare and collectible example of a collaboration between Butera and Turkish artisan I. Beckler, rendered in solid block meerschaum. This robust bent Dublin features a broad, flared bowl with thick insulating walls at the fore of a tapering round shank and comfortably bent acrylic saddle stem for easy clenching. Over time, the stummel will darken and patinate, developing a rich golden hue as it's smoked, its unsmoked condition allowing that patina to be entirely unique to its new owner.
