Florida based pipe maker Randy Wiley has been crafting pipes since the 1970s. He produces pipes at the astonishing rate of around 1,000 every year while uniquely shaping each one. This Dublin by Randy Wiley features possesses a hand-filling bowl that is significantly canted, giving this pipe a gestural momentum. Also, the bowl flares dramatically at the rim, especially at the fore and aft, which forms a crisp, arcing ridgeline that encircles the capacious chamber. The hefty bowl is balanced by the elongated shank and stem, while the shank's oval shape and the saddle stem keep the profile sleek. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a light auburn stain, highlighting stunning growth rings and radiating flame grain on the bowl, while the black partial rustication on the underside offers a textural and visual contrast.
