Crafted by Walt Cannoy, Cardinal House pipes offer the American carver's sophisticated shaping and quality engineering at a more accessible price point. Here, Cannoy presents a handsomely neoclassical take on the timeless bent Dublin. This piece features a broad, strikingly tall bowl that flares out from its pronounced heel to its broad, inflated rim: here capped with a dense crown of plateau. Said bowl is poised at the fore of a curling shank-and-stem arrangement that adds a good deal of gesture to the shape's silhouette. Two knuckles of thick bamboo extend the shank and lend a lively organicism to the composition, their warm hues complementing the stummel's handsome auburn finish.
