American Estates: Paul Perri Smooth Dublin Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-009-20208

Paul Perri may very well have had the longest pipe-making career in the pipe world, having practiced his craft for over nine decades before his death in 2021, just before his 101st birthday. Perri's style can range from decidedly American neoclassical, to utterly timeless, with this Dublin falling squarely in the former camp, thanks to its striking design. The bowl here is not only quite large, but flares out to a broad, dipped rim while taking on a pronounced forward cant and sitting atop a firm, jutting heel. A wide transition out back gives way to a comparatively slender shank which is met by a black acrylic saddle stem, the overall build here resulting in a hearty feel in hand. Dressed in a smooth, warm finish, the stummel here showcases handsome grain throughout, while the rim is subtly rusticated for some contrasting texture.
