Alan Brothers' Berkeley shape is a squat, abbreviated Apple with a low center of gravity and graceful, rounded curves, here dressed in the Midnight finish. Although the heel is forward-thrusted, the soft curves prevail along the underside and even on the rim and end of shank. The saddle mouthpiece promises comfort, and overall the piece is short enough for comfortable pocket carry. If you're looking for a graceful, attractive, and enormously practical pipe, this is it.
