American Estates: Micah Redmond Smooth Apple (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-20689
After becoming fascinated with briar pipes as an art form, Florida native Micah Redmond received instruction from Premal Chheda and learned the intricacies of the craft. In 2015, Redmond turned his passion into a career and joined the BriarWorks team in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fashions pipes alongside Pete Prevost and Bill Shalosky. In addition to his work at BriarWorks, Redmond also produces artisan pipes under his own name, like this Apple.
In keeping with the American tradition, this Apple by Redmond measures a touch over five inches in length, but even given its subdued reach, it maintains a muscular build, with a palpable girth evident across the bowl and shank alike. Shape-wise, this piece sees a plump, full-bodied bowl posed at the fore of an upturned shank and a demurely curved saddle stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable smoking posture and keeps the shape looking fluid in profile. In addition to being perfect for on-the-go smoking, this piece is also quite stylish, dressed as it is in a warm, inviting smooth finish, which highlights gorgeous grain across the stummel.
