American Estates: Eric Klodt Sandblasted Billiard (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-20728
After getting into the hobby of pipe smoking, Eric Klodt discovered the world of high-grade pipes. Entranced by the marriage of artistry and function, Klodt began researching the art of pipe making. Klodt studied the craft with help from such pipe makers as Rad Davis and Michael Lindner, soon becoming an esteemed artisan in his own right. This Billiard by Eric Klodt is a lean rendition of the shape. The bowl showcases a supple taper made more pronounced by its towering disposition, which hints at the Stack shape. Out back, the lithe shank-and-stem arrangement presents a linear taper from transition to button, giving this piece a sleek and tidy form. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a blonde-hued sandblast, revealing the briar's organic growth rings in craggy detail.--Zach Podl
