American Estates: Chheda Sandblasted Billiard (343) (2016) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-009-20766

An artisan pipe maker based out of Columbus, Ohio, Premal Chheda not only does fine work himself, but is responsible for the growth and development of a number of other artisans, including Bill Shalosky. This Billiard is an Apple-like pipe with a strikingly compact outline of less than four inches, packing its small frame with an impressive degree of substance. A wide transition here gives way to a thick shank that extends to meet a rounded accent ring of yellow wood, marking the junction to a trim saddle stem of warm cumberland. Up front, the bowl stands atop a rounded heel and grows plump, pert walls that are supple and rounded, offering a comfortable feel in hand as they arc toward the rim. Dressed in a crisp tanblast, the stummel showcases a wealth of handsome grain and is sure to color nicely with patina as it's smoked.
