American Estates: Rad Davis Smooth Billiard Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-009-21309

An experienced American artisan, Rad Davis has been smoking pipes since the 1970s and carving them since 2003, his years of experience resulting in some truly exciting pieces that showcase his unique design outlook. This Billiard is one of his more classically-oriented pieces, though it's been infused with a distinctly American style that manifests as a tight-knit muscularity. Coming in at well under five inches long, this pipe is handy and travel-friendly, maintaining a substantial feel in hand while remaining light enough to clench easily. A wide transition gives way to a short shank that tapers subtly as it reaches to a more swiftly tapering stem of black vulcanite, this diminishment placing further focus on the presence of the bowl. Said bowl stands atop a rounded heel and cants forward dynamically, its low-set waist making an understated taper as the walls arc toward a flattened rim. Dressed in a warm, rich stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, with flame grain flickering through the flanks of the shank and around the circumference of the bowl.
