American Estates: S&R (Steve and Roswetha Anderson) Smooth Tomahawk (50) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-009-21508

S&R Pipes' Steve And Roswetha Anderson started their pipe-making journey in the 1960s, the two later establishing their shop Pipes & Pleasures in 1977 in Columbus, Ohio. Though Steve passed away in 2009, Roswetha continues to carve pipes, carrying on the S&R name. This Tomahawk from S&R is a plump, palm-filling piece, its towering, aquiline bowl formed by supple walls reaching high from the pointed heel and curving toward the rim. A compact shank curls upward out back, fashioned with a gradually flaring acrylic accent as it joins to a slender, arcing tapered stem. Dressing the stummel is a warm auburn stain that reveals fine birdseye across the right flank and swathes of cross grain along the left of the fore.
