American Estates: JHW Smooth Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-21553
JHW pipes were crafted by Jack H. Weinburger throughout the 1970s and played a major role in the development of the American Freehand style, and strongly influenced respected carvers such as Mark Tinsky and Curt Rollar. This Dublin offering is on the more reserved side for JHW' style, as many previous pieces we've seen have primarily been massive, daring Freehands. Shape-wise, this piece features a stocky, full-bodied bowl that flares from its firm, pronounced heel to its broad, flat rim. Said bowl is positioned at the fore of a sturdy shank and a sleek saddle stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable clench. The bowl houses a healthy chamber within its thick, insulating walls, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions. Dressing this piece is an auburn smooth finish that highlights healthy flame grain across the bowl's flanks.
