American Estates: Mr. Paul España Spot Carved Bent Billiard Tobacco Pipe

Coming to us from the now-defunct Mr. Paul's pipe shop in Baltimore, Maryland, this bent Billiard is a plump, yet balanced take on the classic form that nicely displays the timeless, archetypal shaping for which the profile is known. The transition is rather tight, though it leaves plenty of room to drape a digit, and it gives way to a thick, subtly tapering shank met by a smartly curved stem of tapering black vulcanite. The bowl is plump and comfortable, with nicely rounded walls that taper gently from the heel to the rim: offering plenty of room to showcase the unique España spot carving which covers the stummel in shapes reminiscent of some of the Canary Islands.
