American Estates: Edward's Spot Carved Bent Apple (25) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-21909
Originally a French marque, Edward's pipes have been an American staple since the late 60s or early 70s when they moved to the U.S., offering quality briar pipes at fair prices. This bent Apple is a whimsical approach to the shape, with a classic silhouette that belies the shank's compressed flare and lenticular ovoid shape. A black vulcanite stem pairs to the shank here, its sleek taper taking on a slight downturn at the bit, the pair balancing a plump, pert bowl possessed of ample roundness for a comfortable feel in hand. A textural spot carving dresses the left flank of the bowl and shank, with an additional portion at the shank face contrasting the warm, smooth finish on the rest of the stummel.
