American Estates: S&R (Steve and Roswetha Anderson) Smooth Brandy (45) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-22180
The makers of S&R pipes, Steve And Roswetha Anderson, started their pipe-making journey in the 1960s, and would go on to establish their own shop, Pipes & Pleasures, in 1977. Though Steve passed away in 2009, Roswetha continues to carve pipes, carrying on the S&R legacy. This bold Brandy from the Ohio-based marque showcases the classically muscular style of American pipe making. The bowl possesses a firm heel and tapered walls, which house plenty of chamber within. Out back, the cheeked transition introduces a hearty, round shank joined by a lengthy saddle stem with substantial shoulders. The hearty shank provides ample room to comfortably drape a digit, and the bowl's firm heel allows the pipe to sit sturdily upright between smokes. Offering effortless sitting capabilities and dressed in a warm, earthy stain that showcases healthy grain throughout the stummel, this Brandy would make a fetching desk pipe.
