American Estates: Michael Lindner Sandblasted Apple with Bamboo (C) (2006) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-009-22307
Detroit Native, Michael Linder opened his own tobacco shop in the 1990s where he eventually began to restore and craft his own pipes. Today, Linder is one of America's most well-known and respected pipe artisans, often pulling inspiration from nature when creating his pieces. Those inspirations are on full display in this Apple, accented with two knuckles of bamboo to add an element of organisism. Up front, the bowl is plump, its walls rising from a full-bodied heel with a slight taper to the rim. Nestled inside the bowl is a compact tobacco chamber, barely over an inch deep, perfect for those seeking short and satisfying smoking sessions. Out back, an abbreciated shank gives way to the aforementioned bamboo section, its light hue adding a color contrast to the otherwise dark pipe. A petite vulcanite stem brings up the rear, its ebony pigment complementing the dark sandblast dressing the stummel.
