Born out of a YouTube channel in which Jayson Dagner and his father reviewed pipes and tobacco and connected with the pipe-smoking community, Dagner Pipes offers smokers designed for the working individual, prioritizing ruggedness and workhorse qualities. This Belge is a handsome and impressively compact piece from Dagner, coming in at less than four inches long and weighing well under an ounce. The transition here is quite wide, and it marks the start of a sleekly tapering shank, which is here paired to a black acrylic saddle stem. Up front, the bowl stands atop a rounded heel, growing plump walls that offer plenty of comfort in hand and taper gently toward the rim: all while displaying an impressive forward cant. A craggy rustication covers the stummel and lends a wealth of tactile detail to the composition.
