Premal Chheda is a venerable American carver based in Columbus, Ohio, whose decades of experience he has shared with many up-and-coming carvers over the years. This Horn is an excellent example of Chheda's work, featuring smooth, seamless transition to an organically flared bowl. Said bowl displays an especially well-crafted rim that surges out at fore and aft, with a subtle dip around the edge that accentuates its domed design. Out back, a delicate cumberland stem offers an easy clench. Dressed in a rich natural sandblast, the stummel boasts impeccable ring grain around the bowl, with pockmarks of blasted birdseye around the rim.
