Said transition's angle is made acute by the bowl's wide flare and upright position, which brings the aft-facing rim to hang over the transitional area. Climbing the sandblasted ridges of growth rings encircling the bowl will bring one to a thick rim, beyond which lies a chamber of respectable depth.
