According to Greek Mythology, the panther was a cunning beast who loved to relax. After sleeping for three days, it would emit a sweet smelling odor to lure unsuspecting prey and, after dinner, return to sleep. To represent this trick, they were often depicted as breathing fire. Our panther might need a little assistance with the fire, but he is keeping guard over a wicked orange stem. When you look at him head on, you might be lured in yourself.
