Calaveras refer to the florally decorated skulls used in the Mexican celebration of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). Many of the renditions are made from clay and even sometimes from edible candy. This one from Kenan, though, has been carved from meerschaum, replete with a generous chamber for your favorite leaf and a fetching silver accent that shines in contrast to the darkened exterior of the stummel.
