AKB Meerschaum: Carved Laughing Bacchus (with Case)

Product Number: 002-574-3502

Bacchus (/ˈbækəs/ or /ˈbɑːkəs/; Greek: Βάκχος, Bakkhos), aka Dionysus in the Greek pantheon: Roman god of the grape harvest, wine, fertility, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and pretty much all things associated with raucous parties — add god of meerschaum pipes to that list too, because the inebriant-loving deity is also one of the most prolific motifs seen carved into meerschaum pipes. Here adorned in a grapevine crown by the AKB workshop, the full-bearded Bacchus wears a tipsy grin, clearly enjoying himself.
