AKB Meerschaum: Carved Eagle (Ali) (with Case)

Product Number: 002-574-4730

Members of Congress disputed for six years over what the United States' national emblem should be, eventually settling on the bald eagle in 1789 — much to Benjamin Franklin's chagrin. The Founding Father had staunchly advocated in favor of the turkey over the bald eagle, and he wasn't shy regarding his displeasure at the eventually outcome. Personally, I'm glad Franklin was outvoted: Eagles are fast, sleek, and have talons. Plus, this meerschaum pipe depiction of an eagle is now patriotic as well as striking and detailed.
