AKB Meerschaum: Carved Skull and Octopus (I. Baglan) (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

Even within the world of creative meerschaum pipes, there are a number of themes that remain conventional — the claw-holding-egg motif, men wearing hats, floral and lattice carvings, etc. This piece from AKB, however, is one I have only encountered a small handful of times; it depicts an octopus cradling a skull, within which lies the tobacco chamber. It's a pipe of stunning detail, bold subject matter, and perfect for those drawn to avant-garde, eye-catching pieces. It is also worth noting that, at over eight inches long and five and a half ounces in weight, this is quite a hearty meerschaum piece.
