Similar to an extra-broad Bulldog shape, with the conical rim, twin beadlines around the waist, and diamond-shaped shank, this meerschaum rendition form AKB is a Saucer, and fills the hand with carved detail. The shank-and-stem arrangement taper elegantly out back, gently redirecting my eye to the main attraction: the massive bowl up front. The patina sure to develop with time and smoking sessions will further enhance the piece, dressing the intricate carving of the stummel in tan, gold, and even pink hues.
