AKB Meerschaum: Smooth Devil Anse (with Case) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-574-5793
A shape made popular by the History Channel dramatization of the Hatfield and McCoy feud appropriately titled Hatfields and McCoys, the Devil Anse is the eponymous pipe shape smoked by Kevin Costner's portrayal of "Devil" Anse Hatfield. This Meerschaum rendition from Turkish workshop AKB is far from the traditional interpretation, pairing a lengthy brown and tan acrylic stem to a trim shank that holds a tall Brandy bowl on top of a cheeked transition. Much longer than other imaginings, this is a charming, unique piece that is absolutely ripe for patination, the pale stummel sure to develop a bespoke coloration as it is smoked.
