I can't help but think that this rather serious looking man is examining something, as his squinted eyes seem to speak of focus rather than displeasure. AKB have done an excellent job of rendering his expression in this meerschaum piece, as well as his flowing, bountiful facial hair and his large feathered hat, lending him a distinguished air that commands respect. The pale stummel is contrasted here by a gracefully arced stem of amber hues that will better compliment the porous mineral as you smoke, the pipe accruing patina with every session.
