A sculptural Freehand that looks more like modern art than a pipe, this piece from AKB Meerschaum is a curvaceous design with a foot-like protrusion at the fore and aft. Those protrusions enable this piece to sit sturdily without the aid of a stand, while also contributing to the flowing sense of line across the stummel. A sterling silver accent around the base of the mouthpiece provides a dose of flash to the composition. With time and after plenty of flavor-neutral smoking sessions, this stummel will being to patinate, taking on tans, browns, and even pinks.
