Poised and gestural, this Freehand from AKB brings to mind a Cobra or Scoop shape, with a forward-ebbing rim that slops toward the transition. A wrapping ridgeline around the top of the bowl and shank lends a bit of structure to the otherwise fluid design. The high-kicking shank and the gently bent stem of jet-black acrylic work in concert to promote a comfortable smoking posture. With time and use, the stummel will accrue patina, taking on tans, browns, and even pinks.
