This richly rendered figural shape from AKB depicts a stern-looking man in a jaunty, wide-brimmed cap. As expected from the Turkish workshop, the attention to detail in this piece is exceptional, with each strand of the man's beard deftly articulated. The shank tapers gradually from the base of the man's skull before giving way to a saddle stem of acrylic that arcs for a comfortable smoking posture. Lightweight and handsome, this piece will patinate with time and use, taking on tans, browns, and even pinks.
