Though this meerschaum's overall length is compact, it's a high-reaching Pickaxe piece from AKB, the stummel carved with the rich detail we can depend on from the Turkish workshop. Ensconced with decorative fronds and fancy braids, the bowl tapers gradually to a spur, typical of the shape, while the shank-and-stem combination promote a comfortable smoking posture. This pipe will smoke with a neutral flavor and accrue the warm tones associated with patina as it's smoked over time, the warm tan and golden-brown colors complemented more fully by the amber-hued mouthpiece.
