AKB Meerschaum: Lattice Billiard (Ali) (with Tamper and Case) Tobacco Pipe

An interesting, Poker-like straight Billiard from AKB Meerschaum, this piece was carved by Ali and displays a nearly cylindrical bowl. Said bowl grows up from a flattened heel with a slight curvature to its walls, mainly at the fore, resulting in a silhouette that leans rearward a bit as it is set down, resting on the flat heel and transition. This wide transition works well with the curves of the bowl to offer comfortable smoking, and the entire stummel is stained a deep tan hue to mimic patina, with the intricate lattice carvings embellishing it left pale white. A military mount of silvery metal marries the stummel to a sleek stem of sunny yellow acrylic, offering plenty of contrast, while a similarly lattice carved tamper adds value to this pipe.
