An intricately carved finish dresses the stummel and covers the flanks of the bowl with depictions of flowers, while the fore side displays the face of a lion. The rich detailing of the finish should patinate rather elegantly as the pipe is smoked over time, taking on tan, brown, and even pink hues for an even deeper sense of character.
