AKB Meerschaum: Rusticated Blowfish (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

A remarkably slim adaptation of the modern classic shape, this Blowfish from AKB Meerschaum presents with a strikingly upright posture that angles the shank and stem for easy jaw-hanging. Said shank, as well as the stem base, are paneled, adding a touch of extra firmness to the aft side of the profile. The fore is rather firm as well, with the bowl being encircled by a panel on either flank, forgoing the usually asymmetrical look in favor of a symmetrical one, keeping things quite compressed through both of them. Dressing the stummel here is a gently carved, low-depth rustication which adds some lovely texture without making things too rough, additionally priming the pale material for visually enthralling future patination that's sure to better match the sunny saddle stem.
