AKB Meerschaum: Carved Satyr (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

Companions of the Greek Dionysus or Roman Bacchus, who was the god of wine, the harvest, and ritual madness, Satyrs were bestial spirits of nature that embodied qualities of both man and beast. This particular meerschaum imagining of the ancient man-beast from AKB is more in line with the Roman Faun, given its goat-like horns and goatee. Its eyes are low and heavy-lidded, perhaps from too much wine, and its flowing mane of hair is well-realized, providing ample texture for unique patination as he is smoked from over time.
