AKB Meerschaum: Rusticated Calabash (with Case) Tobacco Pipe

Though this Calabash from AKB is rendered from pale, heat-resistant meerschaum instead of traditional gourd, it still retains the spirit and character of the classic shape, with its domed, overhanging rim and relaxed downward taper. The shank and stem curl away from the low-set transition and strike a fluid S-curve out back that promotes a comfortable smoking posture. A light-depth rustication dresses the stummel and provides just the right amount of tactile feedback to the fingers pads. With time and use, the stummel will take on the warm tans, browns, and golds of patina, coming to more fully harmonize with the amber hues of the stem.
