This meerschaum from AKB depicts a softer take on the common "dragon claw holding" motif. Here, the serpent's claws are lovingly holding a blooming rose, the petals, along with all the other carved elements here rendered with vivid attention to detail. The pale, porous stummel will smoke with a neutral flavor and darken with warm tones of patina as it's enjoyed over time, coming to more fully be complemented by the orange and cream-hued acrylic stem that's adorned with multiple expansion discs.
