Abe Herbaugh: Sandblasted Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-614-0211

American artisan Abe Herbaugh has emerged as one of the most renowned carvers in the United States, developing an aesthetic that is largely influenced by the Danish school of design, as evidenced by this handsome bent Egg. The entire composition boasts a harmonious undercurve throughout that seamlessly sweeps from the shank into the underside of the bowl. The bowl boasts a uniform taper to the rim and holds a strong forward cant that further emphasizes the shape's sinuous nature. True to Herbaugh's Danish-inclined aesthetic, the transition is cheeked and gives way to an oval shank that informs the base of the saddle stem out back, the combination creating a sleek disposition along the aft. Dressing the stummel is a burgundy-hued, two-toned stain that highlights rippling growth rings around the bowl.
