Alexander Tupitsyn: Sandblasted Pot with Horn
Product Number: 002-622-0075
Alexander Tupitsyn doesn't turn to outright classics too terribly often, but he does seem to keep a pretty good sprinkling of them in his repertoire for good measure. This Pot, for example, is of a similar ilk to those we've seen a small handful of times from the carver, meaning that it walks a fine balance between overtly comforting and traditionally-inclined. It's a fairly bowl-centric design too, offering loads or sandblasted briar to hold onto, practically filling the palm with rippling sandblasted rings. Finished in a warm, smoldering contrast, the bowl's rim is treated to a smooth, glossy stain accentuating loads of birdseye, too.- Daniel Bumgardner
