Striking a fine balance between muscular proportions and serious compactness, this is certainly one of the more playful numbers we've seen from Andreas Bennwik. With a broad circumference at the bowl's base, it sports a forward-ebbing taper toward the rim, terminating in a kiss of smooth polish and warm finish in stark contrast to the dark, blasted rings cascading down the flanks. A tight curve at the underside leads the eye to a well-defined transition and a poised, upward-flicking shank and stem, the latter being of the modernist, half-saddle, half-tapered variety.
