Austin Quinlan boasts a meticulous shaping acumen with a keen eye for detail, one informed by experience restoring estate pipes as he first delved into the hobby of pipe smoking. Over time, the Irish artisan would sharpen his skills in shaping, engineering, and finishing, studying under Italian carver Giacomo Penzo to learn the essentials of artisan pipe design. With an affinity for vintage pieces, much of Quinlan's style is informed by the stout, compact proportions of traditional English and Irish pipes, with this piece pairing those sensibilities with a Danish gesture.
