Bill Shalosky: Partially Sandblasted Blowfish (321)
Product Number: 002-720-0034
A slim and I'd say even rather dainty take on the Blowfish, here Bill Shalosky has rendered the organic, lively shape-type with an asymmetry that plays along a considerably elongated form. Although this naturally involves some long, drawn-out and gradual lines to come into play, Bill worked in plenty in the way of shorter, quicker strokes, as found in the "fin" of the transition, the twist of the left side of the shank, and the rightward turn of the cross-grained center-line panel once it reaches forward of the chamber. Overall this is a very active little piece, and the warm style of palette Bill chose for it works very well.- Eric N. Squires
