Bill Shalosky: Sandblasted Prince with Bakelite (529) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-720-0148
Bill Shalosky is an American pipe artisan who makes pipes for the BriarWorks workshop as well as artisanal pieces under his own name, with this lithe Prince a fine example of the latter. A trim 28-gram rendition, it presents a low slung bowl paired to a very gently bent stem; it's just the thing for a short, stylish smoke, and can be clenched with ease if desired.
The stummel is dressed in a vibrant sandblast to accentuate fine stacks of growth rings all around the bowl, contrasted elegantly by the pale cream hues of a handcrafted Bakelite stem. It's a decidedly modern take on a timeless shape-chart design, with a bit of extra muscularity about the heel reinforcing its identity as a Bill Shalosky pipe.
