Bill Shalosky: Sandblasted Nosewarmer Billiard with Tulipwood (592) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-720-0177
Citing "every pipe ever made" as his influence, American artisan Bill Shalosky produces a wide array of shapes, each crafted with the attention to design and detail that have made him a household name among pipe smokers. This Nosewarmer Billiard is a fine example of Shalosky's muscular American style, featuring a tall bowl that rests on a strong heel at the fore of a chubby shank. A hand-cut saddle stem brings up the rear, rendered in brindled cumberland with a broad accent band of tulip wood offering elegant organic contrast to this dark-hued piece. Dressed in a deep ruby and mahogany sandblast, the stummel boasts finely textured birdseye at the bowl's flanks, with rugged growth rings at the fore and aft offering a wealth of visual and tactile interest.
