Bill Shalosky: Sandblasted Pot with Kingwood (628) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-720-0197
American artisan Bill Shalosky produces a wide array of shapes, each crafted with the attention to design and detail that have made him a household name among pipe smokers. This robust Pot is rendered in a typically robust Nosewarmer style familiar to fans of Shalosky's work, though this example is offered in a comparatively rare Pot shape. The proportions on display are nearly equal between the bowl and shank, thanks to the shared breadth and muscularity both share. Said bowl rests on a stout heel, with straight walls giving the composition a rugged silhouette. Out back, a hand-cut vulcanite stem offers an easy clench, accented with kingwood around the saddle. The stummel is dressed in a finely textured walnut sandblast, creating a wealth of especially crisp texture around the bowl.
