Bill Shalosky: Sandblasted Liverpool (797) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-720-0315

Bill Shalosky is an American artisan who entered the world of pipes by first repairing and restoring them. It wasn't long before he began crafting his own pipes, though, and he has since amassed an impressive portfolio, excelling at crafting a variety of shapes, from shape-chart classics to distinctive Freehands. This dashing Liverpool is one of the accomplished carver's traditional designs.

While most pipe shapes are defined by their bowls, the Liverpool is defined by an exceptionally long, round shank and tapered stem paired to a Billiard bowl. This particular offering possesses these requisite characteristics, but with a subtly muscular flair that hints at the pipe's American origins. Being both hearty in width and characteristically long, the shank provides ample space to comfortably drape a digit. A trim Billiard bowl balances on the end of the shank with bold, upright posture, and houses a deep chamber within its tubular walls. The handsome form of the stummel is complemented by a smoky sandblast that draws out the briar's intricate grain patterns and offers a stimulating texture in hand. Joining the stummel is a cumberland stem whose arrow-straight posture further extends the long line of the shank.
