Brigham: Algonquin (229) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-491-7501
Brigham's "29" bent Apple shares many similarities with the Prince shape, namely the demure downturn of the stem and the low-slung transition. However, the "29" possesses a more muscular aesthetic than the traditional Prince; the robust bowl feels palpably plump in hand, and the thick shank lends the composition a sturdy balance. Additionally, the underside features a flattened surface, making the curvaceous "29" a surprisingly stable Sitter.
The Algonquin series draws inspiration from Canada's Algonquin Provincial Park and the calming serenity of nature. Using Brigham's highest-quality briar, the Algonquin series dresses pipes a in vivid chestnut smooth finish, showcasing a fetching array of grain. Offered in 12 different shapes, the Algonquin series exudes traditional appeal, and each pipe would make a fine addition to any smoker's regular rotation.--Zach Podl
Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
